Oil Leak on Monjasa Provider
We were contacted by Montec from Dubai, who urgently needed assistance for their vessel, Monjasa Provider, which was experiencing a serious oil leak from its Controllable Pitch Propeller (CPP). Montec sought our expertise to identify the fault and quickly get the vessel back into operation. Here at West-Marine, our team immediately began analyzing the problem. Through close dialogue and consultation, we assessed that the fault was likely with the seals around the propeller. It was decided to order the necessary spare parts, including various shaft seals, O-rings, and other equipment to ensure a durable solution. With everything in place, we sent two of our experienced service technicians to England, where the vessel was docked. Over the next four days, our team worked intensively to replace the faulty parts and ensure that the vessel’s CPP was sealed and ready for operation again. After completing the work, Monjasa Provider was once again ready to sail without the risk of further leakage. This task demonstrates how West-Marine can not only respond swiftly to international assignments but also deliver solutions with precision and expertise, allowing our customers to continue their operations with minimal downtime.
