At West-Marine’s workshop you will find an important part of the company, namely Safe Transfer A/S, which produces safety baskets for the whole world. Here, the charismatic net maker Jørn Karlsen has his daily routine.

Jørn Karlsen has worked with net making for more than 60 years, and for many years now he has been one of the guarantors that the good craftsmanship is incorporated into each and every safety basket that is shipped from the workshop in Esbjerg. That experience and the keen eye for quality make Jørn Karlsen one of the cornerstones of Safe Transfer. Through his exceptional work, he has helped to create a tradition of safety.

That security helps to create security on various offshore installations and the like, where the need for baskets for transporting people exists.
