Overhaul on Drejø II

We received a request from the shipping company Erria A/S to perform an overhaul of one tunnel thruster on the Drejø II, which was scheduled to dock at ORSKOV YARD in Frederikshavn. And of course, we could. Our two service technicians were tasked with removing the ship’s tunnel thruster, which would then undergo a complete overhaul. The disassembly itself posed a challenge, but it was successful thanks to assistance from a crane truck and Ørskov – our partner on the task. After disassembly and in agreement with Ørskov and Erria, the thruster was transported to our workshop in Esbjerg, where we carried out a complete overhaul. All parts were thoroughly cleaned, and bearings, liners, O-rings, etc., were replaced before the thruster was reassembled and tested to ensure optimal performance. Erria had provided all the spare parts for the overhaul. Everything went according to plan, and the Drejø II could return to operation without any technical challenges.
