Back in stock: The sought-after Safe Transfer baskets are once again being dispatched around the world.
On the harbor in Esbjerg, our subsidiary company Safe Transfer A/S produces one of the world’s most secure transfer baskets. They are used for transporting service technicians between various offshore installations. It’s a product that has garnered increased attention over the years, with global interest steadily rising.
The record-high demand for these specific transfer baskets resulted in supply chain and production unable to keep up. This also meant that the company had to announce sold-out status on several models.
“It has been truly gratifying to receive so many inquiries about our Safe Transfer baskets. The enormous demand has put considerable strain on our logistics for a period of time. Fortunately, we can now inform our customers that we have baskets in stock again,” explains Keld Moesgaard, Head of Production at Safe Transfer A/S.
Increased focus on safety
Despite uncertain times around the world with both war, pandemic, and supply crises, Safe Transfer has experienced increased interest in their transfer baskets. According to CEO of Safe Transfer and West-Marine, Carsten Larsen, there are several reasons for this.
“The main reason for the increased interest we are experiencing from abroad is that safety has become a greater focus for many countries and companies. Additionally, we are now seeing a much greater emphasis on TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) from our customers, where our product is truly unique. As a responsible company, one should not compromise on the safety of its employees. Therefore, one should choose the safest product on the market. We have consciously known for over 35 years that we create a product that, popularly speaking, last forever.”
On track for a record year
Even though there has been a “sold out” sign on the door of Safe Transfer A/S for a period of 2022, it hasn’t prevented the company from selling a significant number of transfer baskets. Our CEO won’t go into details about the exact number of baskets sold. He just mentions that the number is about to surpass the previous record.
“The period during which we closed sales hasn’t prevented us from having a really good year. We are moving closer to a real sales record. We can be really proud of the effort we’ve shown throughout 2022,” says Carsten Larsen.
