This required the ferry to make a trip to Assens Shipyard and undergo emergency docking to resolve the issue.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Our service technicians, Johs Schmidt and Daniel Einarsson, arrived at Assens Shipyard with the necessary spare parts to address the task.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">&#8220;They quickly identified that a fishing net had become entangled in the propeller, causing the leakage in the propeller&#8217;s seal. This resulted in seawater seeping in and mixing with the ferry&#8217;s gear oil. It was a critical situation that could have led to a complete breakdown of the ferry,&#8221; explains Tom Nymand Kristensen, COO at West-Marine.<\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">At Assens Shipyard, our two service technicians disassembled the gear and thoroughly cleaned and lubricated all parts.
