Why it is often called the vertical shaft pump or the vertical column pump.<\/p>\n<p>Supplied with a vortex impeller, this cantilever pump creates a vacuum so that large solids can pass through without interfering with the pump\u2019s internals.<\/p>\n<p>\u00a0The pumps are able to handle liquids with solid content, eg fish waste, wastewater, manure and viscous contaminated liquid. These solids can pass through without disturbing the internal parts of the pump.<\/p>\n<p>Vertically submerged Vortex pumps are the ideal solution when you need to pump from a sump, underground well, a reservoir or a tank.
