I efter\u00e5ret 2021 deltog West-Marine A\/S i overhalingen af de fire thrustere p\u00e5 fart\u00f8jet Wind Osprey, der kommer fra det danske havvindm\u00f8llerederi Cadeler<\/a>.\u00a0<\/mark><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

De lokale i Esbjerg fik syn for sagen, da den store jack-up vessel Wind Osprey lagde til ved havnen.<\/mark> Da skibet rejste sig fra havoverfladen og pludselig stod p\u00e5 dens seks ben. Skibet kunne spottes flere kilometer v\u00e6k. Nu kunne arbejdet begynde. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

I samarbejde med Semco Maritime A\/S<\/a> og Brunvoll A\/S <\/a>startede West-Marine overhalingen af de fire, enorme thrustere p\u00e5 Wind Osprey.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dDet er en k\u00e6mpe \u00e6re at f\u00e5 lov til at st\u00e5 for denne overhaling p\u00e5 Wind Osprey i t\u00e6t samarbejde med Semco og Brunvoll. Vores teknikere har i mange \u00e5r arbejdet med og udviklet deres kendskab til thrusters. Den ekspertise, de har tilegnet sig, kommer nu for alvor i spil,\u201d sagde en stolt direkt\u00f8r i West-Marine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I f\u00f8rste omgang skulle de to retractable azimuth thrustere afmonteres p\u00e5 Wind Osprey og transporteres forsigtigt ind p\u00e5 v\u00e6rkstedet. Det var lidt af en manddomspr\u00f8ve, da hver thruster vejer i omegnen af 16 tons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Stor opgave stor tilfredshed <\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Men de mange tons rystede ikke vores CTO, at den f\u00f8rste thruster landede p\u00e5 v\u00e6rkstedet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dVi har netop f\u00e5et den f\u00f8rste af to Brunvoll retractable azimuth thrustere af typen AR-100 med en propeldiameter p\u00e5 2700 mm ind p\u00e5 v\u00e6rkstedet. Der er flere ting, vi skal have gjort. Vi skal blandt andet have skiftet pakd\u00e5se og O-ringe i propellerne. Vi skal have skiftet lineren p\u00e5 selve akslen og andre kr\u00e6vende tiltag\u201d, fortalte Alex Fjord Christensen, da den f\u00f8rste thruster var rullet ind p\u00e5 v\u00e6rkstedet.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efterf\u00f8lgende kom de to bovthrustere ind p\u00e5 v\u00e6rkstedet, der hver vejer omkring 10 tons. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Med stor succes fik West-Marines teknikere overhalet de fire thrustere og sat dem tilbage p\u00e5 Wind Osprey. Nu kan den igen sejle ud og hj\u00e6lpe rederiet Cadeler<\/a> med at installere havvindm\u00f8ller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201dVi har bevist, at vores teknikere er i stand til at l\u00f8fte en s\u00e5dan prestigefyldt opgave, og selvom det har v\u00e6ret en stor opgave, s\u00e5 er vi snart klar til at g\u00f8re det hele igen p\u00e5 n\u00e6ste skib,\u201d forklarer en tilfreds Carsten Larsen, der samtidig teaser lidt for, at der snart kunne komme et lignende skib ind forbi Esbjerg Havn. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
