Hos West-Marine<\/a> trives vi med at tage komplekse maritime udfordringer op, og vores seneste mission ombord p\u00e5 det norske skib\u00a0Iceland\u00a0Patriot\u00a0var ingen undtagelse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

En af vores nye l\u00e6rlinge fik tilbuddet om at komme med ned p\u00e5\u00a0Iceland\u00a0Patriot\u00a0og han sprang i samme sekund med p\u00e5 opgaven. Sammen med en erfaren kollega tog Mads turen ombord. Og deres opgave blev at udskifte drivakslen mellem motoren og den hydrauliske pumpe p\u00e5 skibet, som har i alt 6 af disse komplekse anl\u00e6g. Disse anl\u00e6g er i stand til at levere imponerende tryk p\u00e5 op til ca. 1500 bar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Men for at kunne komme til akslen og udf\u00f8re udskiftningen, kr\u00e6vede det adskillelse af flere pumper, transmittere og styringsenheder. De arbejdede n\u00e6sten uafbrudt i n\u00e6sten 24 timer, f\u00f8r de endelig kunne melde skibet klar til sejlads igen. L\u00e6rlingen var naturligvis godt kl\u00e6dt p\u00e5 til opgaven og gl\u00e6dede sig efter l\u00f8st opgave til at se dyner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Efterf\u00f8lgende modtog b\u00e5de Mads og hans kollega stor ros fra bes\u00e6tningen ombord p\u00e5 Iceland Patriot for deres dedikation og dygtighed. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
